Here at CigaretteReviws.org we spend a lot of time reviewing traditional electronic cigarettes. We love this type of vaping device for many reasons, but we also want to cover a broader spectrum of the available products out there. With that in mind we were very excited to have the opportunity to review the Vapor Zeus from Vapor 4 Life. The Vapor Zeus is a relatively new offering that gives vapor aficionados a larger, more powerful device.
This vaping device is more on par with most vapor mods than it is with your average electronic cigarette. It is larger and has the option of holding considerably more e liquid than an e cig. It could be argued that the Vapor Zeus is an electronic cigar, but to be honest we prefer to call it a vapor mod. When compared to the smaller e cigs on the market it is huge, but this size scales down quickly when compared to e cigs outfitted with longer life batteries or to larger vapor mods. In the end it is definitely bigger, but keep in mind that the larger battery means hours of extra vaping in between charges.
The Hardware
Upon opening the package our first impression of the Vapor Zeus was summed up in one single word, “wow”. Vapor 4 Life did a great job of developing an eye catching device. Even some of our friends who are not in to traditional e cigs took notice when they were shown the Zeus. Many mods out there appear to be bulky or overly mechanical in appearance. The Vapor Zeus is a streamlined cylinder that is finished with a smooth to the touch material. The one that we got our hands on is finished with the brown cigar pattern, however you can purchase the exact same product in black if you prefer. We like the look and feel of the cigar model a lot.
The Zeus is a three piece device consisting of a battery (which packs a whopping 5 volts of power), a cartomizer which they call a smileomizer (available in both 3.5 and 6 ml sizes) and a metal draw tip. In total the Vapor Zeus is 6 and 3/4 inches long when fully put together, we have it pictured here alongside an EverSmoke electronic cigarette outfitted with a high capacity battery for perspective. E liquid is easily loaded into the cartomizer. You do need to give it a minute or two to settle before you use the device, but once you have done this it works flawlessly. If you already smoke Vapor 4 Life electronic cigarettes, or if you prefer to purchase pre-filled e cig cartomizers from the company they also work with the Zeus. This factor makes the Zeus a little more appealing as you have multiple ways to enjoy vapor with the device in the event that you run out of either pre-filled cartomizers or e liquid. All in all the device works very well and was easy to use.
You will need multiple smilomizers if you want to enjoy more than one flavor of vapor. Vapor 4 Life currently offers over 100 different flavor options, which makes them one of the manufacturers with the broadest selection out there. Buying extra smilomizers does make the device a bit more expensive, however if you commit to using the Zeus regularly it won’t break the bank as the smilomozers are well built and last a long time. As of the release of this review Vapor 4 Life charges between $6 and $7.50 per smilomizer depending upon how many you buy.
User Experience
Overall the Vapor Zeus is a great device. The battery charges in a few hours and really does last up to twelve hours as the manufacturer claims. We tested the automatic version of the Zeus. It delivers huge amounts of vapor without any effort on your part, certainly more than any traditional electronic cigarette that we have reviewed in the past. E liquid can be loaded quickly, and even the smaller smilomizer allows you to fill enough e juice to vape for hours. In our test a fully filled smilomizer lasted two to three days before needing to be refilled, even though the device was heavily used. The hardware was built well so it is a sturdy device, however we were reluctant to take it on trips that would have the device outdoors in the rain (we are in Florida). We would treat any mod this way and are in the habit of keeping electronic cigarettes around for day trips in order to keep from damaging mods which cost considerably more to replace. We never had any major issues with the Zeus and plan to use it in the future even when we will have other devices to put to the test.
Now that you have heard the good there are a couple of things that might be hindrance to some users. Really only two things (we genuinely enjoyed reviewing the Zeus). First is the size. If you are used to regular e cigs, or want something small then you may find the Zeus to be a bit bulky. It’s definitely smaller than a lot of the other mods that we see out there, but the size will take an e cig user a day or two to adjust to. It does fit into pant pockets and purses easily so you can use it on the go, but the larger size will be a drawback for some. Secondly the Zeuss makes some noise when the atomizer heats the vapor. It isn’t incredibly loud but it is surely louder than any e cig that we have reviewed. Again, if you are looking for a mod this won’t be the end of the world as many vapor mods make noise. To be honest the noise is not overbearingly loud, but it is noticeable and we like to report on the full spectrum of any product that we take a look at.
In the end we give the Vapor Zeus a thumbs up. Great hardware, flavor options for days, and reasonable pricing (starter kits are as low as $89.96 right now and they come with e liquid) are generally all we need to fall in love with a vapor device. The Vapor Zeus is a welcomed addition to our collection of e cigs and other vaping devices. Visit Vapor 4 Life online to find out more about this device and their extensive line of e juice flavors. Feel free to share your thoughts on the product with us in the comment section. If you have had the opportunity to use one yourself, rate it with our five star rating system to let other vapers know what you think about the device.
